An Eco-Friendly Tower

An Eco-Friendly Tower
Simonetta e Clara

You know the Eiffel Tower?

The one built for the 1889 Exposition Universelle in Paris, and which was due to be dismantled not long afterwards?

Well, not only was it never dismantled, and not only has it become a universal symbol of Paris and France, but in 2015 it was renovated to become more environmentally friendly. Two vertical wind turbines were installed to produce renewable energy by harnessing the power of the winds that sweep through the city.

Now, more than 130 years after it was built, the Eiffel Tower continues to stand tall as a symbol of modern times and environmental sustainability.
